In this section you can create activity groups and, using the profile generator, create authorization profiles containing the required authorizations.

You define an authorization by giving an authorization object the permitted business characteristics (for example, bank area, term area, product) and the business functions permitted for these (for example, creating, changing, deleting). You can define more than one authorization for each authorization object.

You can find a detailed list of authorization objects used in Profitability Analysis in Maintain authorizations.

For each of these authorization objects you can define more than one authorization that contains either all rights, or just partial rights for the respective object.

Activities

Carry out the following steps to assign an authorization profile to a user:

  1. Create an activity group
  2. Enter a description
  3. Select transactions for the user menu
  4. Create authorizations and postprocess
  5. Assign user and adjust user master record
By doing this the user profile is entered in the user master records.
  1. Transport the activity groups if required.

You can use authorization profiles provided by SAP, or those created manually, in activity groups. To do this, create an activity group without a menu and transfer the authorization profile into the activity group authorization data. In step 4 choose Edit -> Add authorization -> From profile. This links the authorization profile data to the activity group.

You can enter specific functions for SAP Banking Profitability Analysis by using the following profiles:

  • SAP_ISB_PA_CONTROLLER_AG
SAP Banking Profitability Analysis: Profitability Controller

Further notes

You can find details for the procedure in the initial screen for the transaction in "Short Instructions."

Previous functions Maintain authorizations and Maintain profiles are in the application menu under Tools -> Administration -> User Maintenance -> Manual Maintenance.
