In this Customizing activity, you can maintain movement types that define the standard movement types in greater detail.

You can assign any number of movement types to a movement category. You can then evaluate and display them in the patient information lists or in the enhanced patient search.

Enter the institution (Inst. field) and the movement category (C field).

Store the key for the movement type in the MT field and the corresponding text in the Text field.
In the Block Date From field, enter the date from which this movement type is no longer to be valid. This means you cannot select the movement type after this date.

You can assign movement reasons to the movement types, according to §301. By doing this, you can have the system propose the assigned movement reason automatically when you enter a movement type on admission and discharge. For more information, see Define Reasons for Movement.

You maintain the assigned movement reasons on the detail screen.

You can use the indicators on the detail screen to classify the movement types in greater detail. For information about the meaning of the indicators, see the field help.
