In this Customizing activity, you create the input values for the case categories for a specific institution.
The case category is a semantic-free classification of the case. It is used to control the patient's treatment at an early stage and thus to trigger the appropriate type of documentation.
You can specify a case category of your choice and use it to determine the selected admission variant and the assignment of situations and tasks.
You specify case categories primarily when creating a case.

- Enter the institution in the Inst. field.
- You define the input value for the case category in the CCat field.
- Enter a meaningful name for the case category in the Case Category field. For a more detailed explanation, see the F1 field help.
Entries that are marked as inactive are no longer displayed in the corresponding search help. For more information, see the F1 help for the field.
