In the IMG activity Assign Events to Work Organizer Types (Customer), you stipulated whether the selection of technical work organizers should be subject or not to a restriction with regard to organizational units. This makes it possible to create different forms for the same events, depending on the user's organizational unit.

User parameter NF1 user-specific org. unit only for form control is used as the control parameter. If you are running IS-H*MED, this only applies if a specific organizational unit is not entered for the event. User parameter NF1 alone is used in the IS-H System.

If when assigning events to work organizer types, you flagged the Restrict OU checkbox, you have to assign the work organizers to the organizational units here.

  • Note that an entry must exist for each organizational unit concerned.
  • You can enter the wildcard * for the organizational unit, in order to cover the "remaining" organizational units.
  • If you do not specify the required (user's) organizational unit for a technical work organizer, the system cannot locate forms for print formatting.

In addition, you can specify and activate an alternative output control to the "standard" output control of the technical work organizer. Please refer to the F1 Help for the various fields.

  • If you want to use alternative (in other words, other OU-specific) parameters, you first have to set the alternative parameters indicator (Alt. Parameters field). If you activate this indicator, the system uses parameters other than the "standard" parameters.
  • Note that if this indicator is activated, you need to have maintained all the parameters listed here correctly. These specifications alone are used. The standard specifications are no longer taken into account.
  • This means, in particular, that you have to maintain all parameters, even if you only want to use one parameter which differs from the "standard" parameter.
  • An entry is considered to be blocked only if you select both the alternative parameter and block indicators (Blocking Ind. field). The system ignores a blocked entry in form control.

It is only makes sense to activate the Standard indicator here if you have also set the Standard indicator in the IMG activity Assign Events to Work Organizer Types (Customer). If you have not done so, this specification is without effect here. The specification in the output conditions is not taken into account with alternative parameters.

Tip: If you want to print a work organizer for all organizational units except for one (or a few) by default, you can of course list all of these OUs leaving out the one (or ones) for which printout is not desired. The following alternative, however, requires a lot less maintenance:

  1. You first make a wildcard entry * in the Org. Unit field. The work organizer will be printed for all organizational units.
  2. You now exclude particular organizational units from the print process by making an additional entry for those OUs you wish to exclude.
  3. In this additional entry, set the Alt. Parameters indicator.
  4. Do not set the Blocking Ind. or the Standard indicator.

This excludes the OUs in question from the print process.
