In this Customizing activity, you define catalogs that are valid in a particular institution. You subsequently create the related catalog items with reference to the catalogs. You make reference to these catalogs when, for example:
- Entering performed services
- Performing billing
You have created the institution for which you want to define a catalog.
You define a catalog by specifying the following:
- Institution
- Key to uniquely identify the catalog
- Catalog type
- Very short name of the catalog (up to 6 characters)
- Name of the catalog
- Description of the catalog
- Catalog currency
- Catalog system
- Catalog version
- Catalog location
The catalog identification is used as a partial key in the master data of the catalog items.
The system enters the local currency automatically as the currency key if you do not specify a different currency. This currency determines the currency of the amounts specified in the catalog columns.
