In this IMG activity, you maintain the rules (conditions) with which, in relation to different parameters, you define the chief and external physician discount (in percentage form).

Annotations

This IMG activity is in general no longer necessary in Germany with the BPflV 95.

In this function, the system calls condition type NWBA delivered in the standard system. If you have defined other condition types for this purpose, you have to call them using general condition maintenance. If condition type NWBA is not yet defined in this client, it has to be created. You can copy the corresponding condition type which is valid system-wide from client 0.

Note that it is only useful to define this kind of discount for services for which the discount indicator is set in the service master.

A default key combination is used here which enables, among other things, the discount to be defined for each service. If you defined a different key combination (access sequence) when defining the system settings for condition type NWBA, the following explanations may no longer be applicable.

  1. Start by specifying in the dialog box whether you want to define Chief Physician or External Physician discount.
An overview screen appears.
  1. Enter the following data on the overview screen:
  • The institution

  • The case type (e.g. 1 for inpatient)

  • The relevant service catalog

  • The validity period

  1. In the External Physician Service field, store
X for External Physician Service or " " for Privately Billable Service.
  1. Now enter the discount percentage rate for the relevant services.
  2. You can create new values with this function. Within the function, you can also switch to Change mode. The system displays a further screen for you to make specifications for the selection of the values you want to change.
  3. Check and save your data.
