In this step, you define the control parameters and debug parameters for the SAP-CAD interface program. For example, you define the following features of the CAD interface:
- maximum number of matchcode records for communication with an external system
- the separator character used in data strings
- maximum length of data strings transferred between the external system and the SAP System
- how BOM items are sorted when you create or change a BOM without item numbers
- external/internal number assignment when you create a new SAP object
- material number reservation in the SAP System
With the debug parameters, you can define the modes with which the SAP transactions called are processed if the CAD interface is started via report RCCADI10. You can also define the line length for reading simulated CAD data from the standard text.
Another parameter allows you to define the line length for output of data strings transferred between the two systems.
You can also define whether the transfer of data strings in a real dialog connection between an external system and your SAP System is to be logged in the SAP System.
