This is only possible for characteristics which are not assigned values during quality inspection.
To create or delete characteristic values for a batch during goods movement you can alternatively use the Business Add-In (BAdI) Characteristic Value Modification for Batch in Goods Movement Processes. Note that if there is an active implementation for this BAdI and the SAP enhancement MBCFC004 EXIT_SAPMM07M_004 at the same time for a movement type, then the BAdI implementation will be executed first.
- The class of the batch to be classified must be known. This means that a class must be assigned either to the material or at least to one batch of this material.
- The exit call must be activated for the respective movement type in activity Activate batch classification during goods movements in IM using indicator 'Extended classification'.
- Make the required settings.
- Either create a new project or use an existing one.
- Activate the project.
- Your enhancement is effective only after the project has been activated.
As opposed to modifications, enhancements are release-insensitive as they are not made in the SAP standard version but in name ranges reserved for the customer.
