Using the shipping approval function, you can assign a batch with the shipping approval status. The person responsible makes the decision to assign a batch with the shipping approval status based on the information from derivation.
Example
You can set the following shipping approval statuses:
- A ,,Batch is available for outbound delivery
- B ,,Batch is available for delivery in Europe with restrictions
- C ,,Batch is temporarily unavailable
- D ,,Batch is not being delivered
Derivation must be set up.
The shipping approval status can be used as a reference characteristic when you search for batches.
Indpendent of the shipping approval status you choose, the system can call up follow-on actions with the help of the user exit EXIT_SAPLDRVN_003 (for example, the transfer of batches or completion of the batch record (EBR).
