In this section you define:

• Service charge keys used in the settlement of heating expenses and operating costs

• The business attributes of each service charge key (dependent on tenancy law)

For service charge key attributes:

• The service charge keys must be created.

• The apportionment units must be created.

1. Service charge key

• Check the standard settings and change them as necessary:

• Delete all keys that you do not require.

• Add any other service charge keys that you require (new entries).

• Save your entries.

1. Service charge key attributes

You can define the following attributes for each service charge key:

• Whether the costs are operating costs or heating expenses

• Whether the costs are apportionable or non-apportionable

• Which apportionment unit is to be used for apportioning the service charge key

• Whether or not to consider regional location keys for heating value days
