Maintain cycle counting indicators for a given plant to group the materials together into individual categories.

In this step, you complete the system settings for the physical inventory method of cycle counting by defining the individual cycle counting indicators for the given plant.
The cycle counting indicators are used to group the materials together into individual categories.

Normally, the cycle counting indicators are assigned when an ABC analysis is run. However, different indicators can be defined, if necessary.

1. Define the allowed cycle counting indicators in the plant.
2. Make the required settings for each indicator.
3. The field Usablecan be set to mark a record as valid, invalid or obsolete.

• An entry marked as Invalidcannot be used in the material master to create a material.

• An entry marked as Obsolete can be used to create a material in the material master, however, a warning is issued.

• An entry marked as Validcan be used to create a material in the material master.

Remember that the total of the percentages must be 100 if you want to assign the indicator to the individual materials as part of an ABC analysis.

Note: Percentagefield is not visible in the cloud system.

Restriction: The key fields column, Plantand CC Phys. Inv. Ind., are indicated as mandatory fields when you choose the Editoption. This does not affect the functionality of the app.
