Define release creation profile which control the parameters of generating release document for scheduling agreement.

In this step you can set the release creation profile.

It concerns an instrument that is used to control which criteria are relevant for generating releases from a scheduling agreement, and for transfering them to the vendors.
You assign the creation profile to the scheduling agreement item in the additional data.

The creation profile controls, for example, the release creation periodicity of releases and - based on the current date of the release creation - the aggregation type of the quantities.

In the release creation profile you can determine:

  • General parameters
  • the creation strategies that JIT and forecast delivery schedules are subject to

  • how backlog and immediate requirement are considered in the release creation

  • Aggregation andrelease horizon
if and how delivery schedules are to be aggregated with the release creation
  • Release creation periodicity
with which periodicity SA releases are generated
  • Tolerance profile
that, for releases that need to be generated because of changed delivery schedules, a tolerance check is carried out
  • Last goods receipts
if and how last inbound deliveries and goods receipts are determined and outputted during the release creation
  • Internet release
if, during the release creation, Internet releases are to be generated
  • Printing with Smart Forms
which additional information in SA releases is outputted if you use the print form ISAUTO_ESCR_FRC_JIT, based on the SAP Smart Forms
  • Criteria for dynamic stopping
on the basis of which criteria, SA releases are subject to dynamic stopping

For a scheduling agreement, for which delivery schedules have been maintained over a period of several years, a creation profile, for example, can plan that from 1.1. to 31.12. of the first year, releases are transferred weekly. The release quantities are to be aggregated as follows:

From the current date of the release creation to 10 days, not at all, from the tenth to the thirtieth day, daily, and from the thirtieth to the sixtieth day, monthly.

If a time is not specified in the delivery schedules, you should use aggregation in the creation profile, so that delivery schedules with the same date are summarized in the release creation.

The reason for this, is what happens when comparing the releases:
If several delivery schedules with the same date/time key exist, an exact comparison is then difficult, as there is no unique assignment.

You can find detailed information in the field help, in the documentation Purchasing (MM-PUR) in the section Creation profile and in the documentation SAP Automotive -> Enhancements MM-Scheduling Agreements.
