SAP E-Book

An access sequence defines the sequence in which conditions are accessed in message determination. It is not possible for you to access the conditions tables directly. An access sequence can include more than one condition table.

Access sequences are entered in the message types.

In the standard configuration, creation of a letter of complaint is controlled by access sequence 0002:

  • First the system searches in condition table 048 for an entry in which the company code and supplier are the same as that of the invoice subject to complaint.
  • If no entry is found, it searches in the condition table 049 for an entry in which the company code is the same as that of the invoice subject to complaint.

The standard system contains the following entries:

  • 0001 Access condition table 046 (company code and blocking reason "price variance")
  • 0002 Access condition tables 048 (company code and supplier) and, if necessary, condition table 049 (company code)
  • 0003 Access condition table 049 (company code)
  • 0004 Access condition table 172 (company code and invoicing party)

SAP recommends working with the standard configuration. If you do, no further action is necessary.

Check that the access sequences listed in "Standard Settings" exist.

If you want to define new access sequences, proceed as follows:

  1. Choose New entries.
  2. Enter a new access sequence and a description.
  3. Select the access sequence entered and choose the level Accesses in the Navigation screen area.
  4. Choose New entries and fill in the table.
  5. Select the lines of the newly-defined accesses one after the other and choose the level Fields each time. The document fields in document structure KOMKBMR are assigned to the accesses.
  6. Choose Back. Once you have made the assignment, you can no longer enter data in the column Tab.
  7. Choose Back. You return to the access sequences level.
  8. Save the new access sequence.
