In this step, you can create profiles for sorting components in production orders.

You can sort the following lists:

  • the general component overview

Using a profile, you can determine the criteria according to which the lists are sorted. You can, for example, define that a list is sorted according to requirements date, requirements quantity and storage location at the same time. You can use a maximum of 8 sort keys at the same time.

The profile is stored as a user parameter. This means that you can specify for each user the criteria to be used for scanning the appropriate list.

When creating a user parameter, you have to assign the profile of a parameter ID. Please use the following parameter IDs:

ID,,,,Characteristic value

S3F,,,,Component overview is always sorted according to the profile

S1F,,,,Profile is proposed when calling up the sorting
,,,,function for the component overview

Apart from the profiles defined in Customizing, a temporary sorting profile can be created at any point of time during order processing. If you want to create this type of profile, select the menu options Edit -> Sort and press function key New selection.

Create the necessary profiles.
