You define types of reporting point in this activity.

In line design, you can define action points for a production line or line segment. If you wish to use an action point as a reporting point for backflushing, you must assign a reporting point type to each action point. The type of the reporting point determines whether, at a reporting point backflush,

  • The capacity is reduced.
  • The components are backflushed.
  • A goods receipt is posted.
  • The reporting points that precede a reporting point of this type (Backflush Predecessor) are backflushed automatically.

  1. Choose New Entries.
  2. Enter a name for the type of reporting point and select the required indicator.
  3. Save your entries.

Action points at which the capacity is reduced can be defined for production lines only. Only production lines have line resources assigned to them at which the capacity can be reduced.

You can define two action points to act as reporting points for each line segment; one at the beginning and one at the end.
