Allows you to define valuation modes for inspection characteristics.

In this step, you can define in the valuation mode how a decision is made to accept or reject inspection characteristics. These valuation modes are used in the sampling procedure.

If required, you can integrate your own function modules that allow you to make the decision whether to accept or reject inspection characteristics. You do this by defining and assigning a custom valuation rule and thereby define different valuation modes.

Valuation Levels

The valuation of an inspection characteristic is usually made up of several steps that take place at the following levels:

  • Valuation of original values or value classes
In summarized results recording original values or value classes are not valuated.
  • Valuation of inspection samples
If the system does not allow for multiple samples, there is no valuation at sample level.
  • Valuation of a characteristic

The custom valuation rules mentioned above are active at characteristic or inspection sample level. At the level of the original values or value classes, the valuation rules are set automatically by the system depending on the control key of the characteristic:

  • Manual valuation
  • Code valuation for qualitative characteristics with characteristic attributes
  • Valuation based on tolerance specifications for quantitative characteristics

The table has the delivery class G.

The following name range is reserved for the user:

  • Valuation mode 9*, A*, ... Z*

Use the valuation modes contained in the standard system.

Do not delete any of the valuation modes contained in the standard system; instead, you can block the entries you do not need. You can block the entries you do not need.

  1. Decide which basic definitions of valuation modes you want to use.
  2. Make the necessary settings.
  3. Determine whether additional or other valuation modes are required. In this case you must also define and program appropriate valuation rules for these valuation modes. You do this under Define Valuation Rules.
