Create, change, and display condition tables for material determination in sales.

You can define condition tables used in material determination. Each condition table contains a combination of key fields required for creating condition records (master data) for material determination.

SAP provides the standard condition table 001 (with key field material entered).

Creating condition tables

If the standard condition table doesn't fulfill your business requirements, you can define new condition tables or copy and adapt existing ones.

  1. Choose More > Condition Table> Create.
If you want to define a condition table by adapting a copied table, enter the number of an existing table in the Copy from Condition Table area.
NOTE: Custom condition tables must be numbered between 501 and 999.
  1. Add fields from the field catalog.
The settings here affect the screen layout in the apps for maintaining condition records (for example, in the Create Material Determinationapp). These settings include the following:
  • Field sequence: You must add all header fields before adding item fields. Header fields will show in the header area of the condition record screen, and item fields in the item area of the screen.

NOTE: The system automatically sets the last-added field as an item field.
  • Item field: You can set certain fields to item fields.

  • Text field: You can set one field to the text field. The description of this field will show on the condition record screen.

  • Validity period: You can enable the validity period. As a result, validity period maintenance is possible on the condition record screen.

  1. Generate the condition table.

Changing condition tables

For existing custom condition tables, you can make limited changes, for example, change the table description.

NOTE: You cannot change the standard condition table.
