Delivery scheduling takes pick/pack times and loading times into account. These times are dependent on the shipping point which is responsible for delivering the order item.

You can define the type of delivery scheduling for each shipping point.

You can define for each shipping point whether and how the pick/pack times and/or the loading times should be determined.

  • You can decide whether the global criteria at shipping point level are sufficient for scheduling or whether more precise times which are dependent on other criteria should be used.
You must define the more detailed time specifications separately. If you do not want the route to be taken into account when pick/pack times and loading times are determined, set the appropriate indicator here. When defining the times, you must leave the field for the route blank to ensure that the times are calculated independently of the route.
  • Define the pick/pack times which are required for material availability.
The specifications depend on the following criteria:
  • Shipping Point

  • Route (if you want it to be taken into account for delivery scheduling)

  • Weight Group. This is determined by the SAP system based on the order quantity of the schedule line.

  • Define loading time. This depends on the following criteria:
  • Shipping Point

  • Route (if you want it to be taken into account for delivery scheduling)

  • Loading group of the material from the material master record

  • Define the rounding periods which are to be used for the calculation.
  • Specify a factory calendar for determining the dates. You must specify a factory calendar for each shipping point.

The shipping points, routes, weight groups, and loading groups must be defined. The shipping points defined are automatically proposed for maintenance.

  1. Check whether and how delivery scheduling is to be carried out at the individual shipping points.
  2. Define the scheduling indicators for each shipping point.
  3. Check the pick/pack times your shipping department requires and define the pick/pack times for each shipping point, route, and weight group.
  4. Check the loading times your shipping department requires and define the loading times for each shipping point, route, and loading group.
