In this menu option you define the batch jobs on the basis of variants for the output selection program.

For each batch job you have to enter the following:

  • Job name
freely definable name which identifies the batch job
  • Program name
Name of the program which controls output selection
  • Variant
Name of the variant the batch job is to refer to
  • User name
Indicator for authorization check
  • Repetition period
Time period (for example, hour or day) after which the batch job is to be repeated automatically
  • Start date
Date specifying the time of the first batch job run

You can restart batch jobs which have already been run by assigning new dates and print specifications to it.

Variants must be defined for the output selection program to which you can refer when creating batch jobs.

Only the output selection program RSNAST00 is defined in the standard SAP System. It is automatically proposed for the definition of batch jobs.

  1. Enter the name of the batch job which you wish to create or restart. Also maintain the data for program, variant, and user name.
It is possible to call a variant overview using the menu bar from which you can copy a variant.
  1. Maintain the data of the repetition period, the start date, and the print specifications.
Depending on the setting, the batch job either runs after saving or at the defined date.
