BADI PRICAT_OUT_EXTIN is used to fill the ExtensionIn parameter of the BAPI, BAPI_PRICECATALOGUE_SAVREPLICA, in the price catalog outbound processing. A table ExtensionIn in the BAPI interface is the standard enhancement technology for BAPIs.

This interface is relevant if price catalogs are to be sent using the message type PRICECATALOGUE. The ExtensionIn parameter allows you to transfer data in addition to the data defined in the standard system to the BAPI (and therefore to the IDoc that was generated on the basis of the BAPI interface and is used to send the data as well).

The additional data is transported using separate segments (E1BPAREX). The BAPI also contains BADI method calls that can process this data using customized coding in the price catalog inbound processing. If the data is not being exchanged between the two SAP Systems, a converter has to be used to interpret user-specific segments.

• Method OUTBOUND_EXTENSIONIN imports the complete BADI interface. Parameter RT_EXTENSIONIN is a changing parameter. This way, the table can be filled with the customized data in the method.
  The parameter ExtensionIn is the enhancement technology that is supported in the standard SAP System.

• The standard implementation of the method PRICAT_OUT_K010 fills the additional fields of the price catalog in the enhancement segment of the IDoc PriceCatalogue02 (E1BPPAREX). This is the same enhancement technology as in the method OUTBOUND_EXTENSIONIN and is run when the method OUTBOUND_EXTENSIONIN is sent.
