SAP E-Book

In this IMG activity you determine the assignment of the individual events to event groups (templates) by

  1. defining a template header (deadline schemata) and by selecting the type of view for displaying the time segments for your document type.
  2. assigning several of the events that you have previously defined to a template (Deadline events). This makes all events belonging to the event group available to you as soon as you create a document. You can assign an event to several templates.
Templates are client-specific.

The lines of the template should be sorted in an unique way and the events assigned in the template should be present and also be consistent.

The lines for a template may be not optional if the assigned event contains inline times. This is because inline times are always inserted in the document when you first navigate to the time segment screen, and are filled from the corresponding fields of the application document.

If templates are copied from other clients, the migration templates must be deleted and may not be used in the application.

Execute these activities for all Customizing procedures within this IMG activity.

  1. Select New Entries to determine new entries for the additional deadlines or use Position to select an existing entry, change it and save the data.
  2. Enter the necessary data for new entries or select the corresponding entry from the input help.
  3. Save the data for your new entry.
  1. Under template specify a technical name for the template to form an event group.
  2. Specify an alternative name for the template that is displayed later in the input help. The technical name of the template does not appear. Specify this alternative name when assigning the template in later subsequent steps. You can change the alias name subsequently, if necessary.
  3. Specify the view for your event. You can currently only select the standard view STD for planned and actual times and make changes to this view, if necessary.
  4. Specify the key for the application document to assign the application document to the time segment tables.
  5. Select a project ID to assign your Customizing activity to a project.
  6. Specify a description for the template that appears later when you call the input help.
  7. Open the folder Deadline events to assign your events to this template and therefore to group them.
  1. Under Deadline schemata select the alias defined before for the template to assign your events to this template.
  2. Select an event type to assign it to your template. In this way, this event type is available to all document types to which you assign this template.
  3. Specify the sort order for your assigned event to determine the order of events within the template.
  4. Set the indicator "optional trans." if you do not want the field labels and entry fields of the event to be created automatically in the document for the event group.
  5. Set the indicator "inactive" if you do not need an event in this event group for a while. You do not need to delete the data record.
  6. Repeat steps one to five to assign other individual events to your event group.
  7. Save the data.
