In this activity, you define the number interval used for the number ranges for processing import and export transactions. During each import or export transaction, a unique number identifying the transaction is assigned to all segments. This number is only used for system purposes and does not appear in the application menu.

When defining the number range for import or export transactions, you do not have to make the usual distinction between internal and external number assignment, which is used to determine if the system assigns a number automatically or the user manually. In this case, internal number assignment always applies.

  1. Check whether you can adapt the number range for processing import and export transactions defined in the standard system.
  2. Maintain number range "01" by specifying the limits of the number intervals. The limits of the number intervals must not overlap so that all numbers can only be used once.
