SIMG_CFMENUOLVT003O - Assign Number Range Groups to Order Types

In this work step, you assign number range groups to order types. Each number range group corresponds to a specific number range and is intended for internal or external number assignment. Internal number assignment means that the system automatically assigns an order number to the order when you create it. If you want to assign your own numbers to orders, you must assign a number range group that allows external number assignment.

You assign the order types PM01 (Maintenance Order) and PM03 (Maintenance Order / Notification) to the
number range group 15. When you create maintenance orders with order type PM01 or PM03, the system automatically assigns a number within the number interval from 000004000000 to 000004999999.
