In this step, you define your message schema for the summarized JIT call and assign it accordingly.

The message schema contians the message types that are authorized for each message application (such as EDI summarized JIT call, form for summarized JIT call, and so on). This enables the system to automatically propose the appropriate messages in a summarized JIT call.

You must firstly define the message type and then include it in a message schema.

• To define a new message schema, copy a similar, existing one and make the necessary changes.

• If you define your own message schema, the key should begin with the letter Y or Z, since these namespaces are kept free in the standard system.

1. Examine the extent to which you can use, or will have to change, the message schemas that are in the system as standard. Also, check the assignment of the message schema to the summarized JIT call.
2. Define your message schema for the summarized JIT call.
