Add fields to the field catalog used to define condition tables for packing instruction determination.

With the condition tables for packing instruction determination, you define packing instruction dependencies. For example, you can make packing instructions dependent on the material to be packed and the respective customer. In this case, the system finds a specific packing instruction depending on the material and customer entered.

You use the condition tables to define these dependencies. In a condition table, you define the combination of fields (for example, material and customer), on which you want to make packing instruction determination dependent. You fill this condition table with 'contents' (concrete entries) via the condition records, at a later point in time.

You should not change the condition tables already contained in the standard system.

To create a condition table, proceed as follows:

  1. Check the extent to which you can use the condition tables already contained in the standard system. To do this, you can display the condition tables.
  2. Before you create a new condition table, check whether the fields available in the field catalog are sufficient for your requirements. If you want to use a field that is not contained in the field catalog, you must copy it to the field catalog. You can only copy fields that are contained in the table KOMGP.
  3. Create a new condition table. To do this, copy a similar condition table by entering it under Copy from condition, and proceed as follows:
  4. Enter the name of the table that you want to create. Note that you can only use names between 501 and 999. If you make no entry, the system automatically assigns a sequence number in the customer namespace.
  5. Specify whether you want to create the table with or without a period of validity.
  6. Enter a name for the condition table. Select the fields you require for the table from the list of allowed fields that are contained and can be enhanced in the field catalog.
  7. Generate the new condition table.
  8. Enter the condition tables in the access sequences. You thus create the link between determination type, access sequence, and condition record.
