In this step, you define the start time for sporadic background jobs.

The following background job is available:

"MRP record creation in repetitive manufacturing"

This background is only relevant if you work with BOM explosion numbers.

The BOM explosion number is used to determine the date that the bill of material is to be exploded for all BOM levels. If no BOM explosion number exists, the order start date of each planned order is used in the standard system as the explosion date for the BOM level.

The background job for "MRP record creation when changing BOM explosion numbers" is used to make an entry in the planning file when:

  • the date in the BOM explosion number was changed at a later date (even if MRP elements already exist with the this BOM explosion number)
  • you want to make sure that the planning file entries are created BEFORE the planning run if changes have been made to the BOM explosion number. Then you set the start time of the background job 1-2 hours before the start of the planning run.

Enter the start time for the background job.
