Create planning strategy groups including main and alternative strategies.

In this configuration activity, you specify which strategies are to be grouped together into a strategy group. You can determine a main strategy, as well as, a maximum of seven alternative strategies.

You can assign strategy groups to materials directly in the material master or assign them to an MRP group, which can be assigned to materials in the material master in a second step.

The main strategy is proposed in demand management or sales order management. If necessary, you can select a different planning strategy from the strategy group.

Different strategy groups are available in the standard system.

1. Check the strategy groups that are included in the standard system.
2. Define new strategy groups as required.

Note: Editing predefined strategy groups is not allowed.
