For the United States:

There are two different tax solutions for the United States: an internal tax solution (procedure TAXUSJ) and an external tax solution (procedure 0TXUSX). Assign the key according to the tax procedure that your company uses.

Please note that there is a veto check in place for this configuration step for the tax procedures for the United States. You can use this configuration step to assign or change a tax procedure for the United States only if there are no US tax postings in your productive system. If you have US tax postings in your productive system, the veto check prevents you from changing your tax procedure to prevent serious errors from occurring. If there are any issues with this procedure, please create an incident for component FI-CNT-GL.

For other countries/regions:

You cannot use this configuration step to change the tax procedure for the respective country/region. The tax procedures for other countries/regions are delivered by default.
