Here you define the data entry forms for entering data on desktop PC's using MS ACCESS.

Data entry forms consist of the following components:

  • Title of the data entry form
You can enter the title in different languages.
  • Various control parameters, such as block indicator or authorization group
  • Line layout of the data entry form
There are two ways of creating line layouts:
  • manual creation by assembling the FS items including additional account assignments

  • automatic creation by generating the layouts from the FS chart of accounts

You can renumber the line layouts if the line spacing becomes to narrow due to various changes and new entries. You can also run validation checks against the layouts.
  • Column layout of the data entry form
The column layout defines the layout for printed forms.
  • Sets for entering additional account assignments for FS items

In the SAP R/3 standard delivery system, a large number of data entry forms is preset (e.g. forms for balance sheet, income statement, asset history sheets).

The FS items prompted in these standard forms are coordinated with the FS chart of accounts preset in the standard delivery system.

  1. List which entry forms you need (e.g., balance sheet, income statement, information for the notes to consolidated financial statements).
  2. Check whether and to what extent you can use the preset data entry forms.
  3. You may want to complete your specific entry forms.

You can maintain the title, line layouts, column layouts and sets in Data Entry Form Definition in the step 'Extras'.

For detailed information about defining the forms, refer to the "FI-LC Consolidation" manual.
