The procedure for creating revenue elements is identical to that for creating primary cost elements.

• Revenue elements have their own cost element types in the SAP system.

• 11: Revenue elements

• 12: Sales deductions

Revenue posted to a cost center can be reposted but not allocated elsewhere (such as via assessment). Revenues are only statistically maintained in cost centers.

• In the IMG General Controlling under Organization, you completed the IMG activity Maintain controlling area.

• You have created G/L accounts in FI for the revenue elements.

1. Define the revenue elements.

You can store the following indicators:

• Cost element type

• Record quantities

• Quantity unit

• Default account assignments to cost centers or orders

To transport revenue elements, a separate function is available in the IMG General Controlling.
