In this step you can maintain or redefine search help for activity types.

Technical expertise in the ABAP Dictionary is necessary to maintain search help. Let system administration maintain them for you.

Note that large numbers of search helps can slow system performance. Check which search helps you need. Deactivate any search help you don't require.

Search help is valid for all clients.

Before maintaining search help, see the SAP Library under Basis Components -> ABAP Development Workbench -> ABAP Dictionary -> Maintaining Search Help.

There you will find information on how search help is constructed in the SAP System and how to create search help in the ABAP Dictionary.

The standard SAP System includes the following search help:

  • "N" enables searching through use of the activity type number
  • "S" enables searching through use of the activity type name

Activities

  1. Check whether the standard search helps satisfy your requirements.
  2. Supplement the existing search help objects with further search helps, or create new ones if necessary.
