Define Properties of Mobile Phones

You use this activity to define the properties of mobile telephones for each country/region.

Use

In every SAP application that uses Business Address Services (SAP business partners, for example), you can flag telephone numbers as "SMS-enabled".
Various applications such as CRM marketing campaigns use this attribute to select the telephone numbers for each target group.
The flag that indicates whether a telephone is SMS-enabled can be set in dialog mode for each telephone number.

When a mobile telephone number is maintained, the system has to suggest as suitable a value as possible for the attribute "SMS-Enabled".
For this purpose, the corresponding country of the telephone number or the country/region of the address is analyzed for the country/region indicator "Mobile Telephone is SMS-Enabled".
If the indicator is set for the country/region, the attribute "SMS-Enabled" is proposed to the user when entering a mobile telephone number.
However, this attribute can then be changed for each telephone number (if necessary), regardless of the proposed entry.

Activities

For the countries/regions of business partners to whom you want to send SMS messages, maintain the indicator "Mobile Telephone is SMS-Enabled" with the relevant entry.
