This section describes how to determine which texts are generated by the system for which step for internal correspondence.

A mail is to be sent to the person responsible in the appropriate department as part of the "Interview date" action. The sender of the message is the personnel officer responsible. The message contains the date and the time of the interview.

You should have created infotype 0105, Communication, for employees who are responsible for actions.

You should also have determined which actions require internal mails to be sent and created them in the appropriate step.

The standard SAP system includes the following settings for
feature MAILS, Attributes of a mail for an action:

• A mail using the standard text "MAIL-APPLICANT" is generated for every action. This message is sent to the personnel officer, the person responsible for the action and the person responsible for the reference action. In the latter two cases, the recipient of the mail is determined from subtype "0001" of infotype 0105, Communication. Once generated, the mail is put into the sender's outbox.

• A mail using the standard text "MAIL-APP-INTERVIEW" is generated for action "005". The person responsible for the action and the person responsible for the reference action receive this message. The other settings are the same as those in the previous example.
