In this IMG activity, you can adjust the general status management to suit your requirements. A distinction is made between the following statuses in the SAP System:

System status

User status

In this activity you can create a Status profilefor your user status .

Note: In Collateral Management, status transition for collateral objects is allowed via business activities.

In this activity, you can:

  1. Define the user status and document its function in the short or long text. You can create one or more user statuses in a status profile.
  2. Establish the sequence in which the user statuses are run through. (also shown by the status number). If you do not assign a status number to a user status, this status can always be set. However, there can only be one user status with an active status number. When you assign a status number to a user status, you have to assign a lowest and highest status number. These limit the status number interval, from which the following user status can be selected.
  3. Assign at least one object category to the system profile using object categories.
  4. Define the initial status that is activated when the collateral object is created.
