The cleanup tasks in Financial Accounting (FI-GL/FI-AP/FI-AR) which are described in this activity can be divided into the following parts:

,,C: Cleanup for Consolidation purposes
,,D: Other cleanup tasks

A: Manual maintenance of non-converted tables

You must maintain the following settings manually in the IMG since the tables are not converted:

Dunning Program

  • Define dunning charges (T047C)
    You find this activity under Set up Dunning Program. Choose a dunning procedure by double-clicking one. On the next screen, choose the Charges button.
    Add a new entry for the euro.
  • Define marginal amounts (T047H)
    You find this activity under Set Up Dunning Program. Choose a dunning procedure by double-clicking one. On the next screen, choose the Minimum amounts button.
    Add a new entry for the euro.

Document Parking and Release

  • Company code-dependent release data (VBWF01)
    Create Workflow Variant for Parking Documents
    In the views "Subworkflow Allocation" (V_VBF06) and "Release Authorization: Parked Documents" (V_VBWF09) you need to enter the appropriate amounts in euro to replace those in the changed over currency (such as BFR). You can do so using transaction SM30.

Withholding Tax

Account Determination for Exchange Rate Differences for Open Items (T030H, T030HB, T030B, T030E)

  • Define Accounts for Exchange Rate Differences
    For all currencies for which the euro exchange rates are fixed, you should check whether new accounts need to be defined for exchange rate differences because the differences resulting from translation are rounding differences rather than actual exchange rate differences.

Payment Program

  • Bank selection for payment program (T042A)
    You find this activity under Configure Payment Program. There you choose Bank selection and choose the corresponding company code by double-clicking on it. You reach the screen for maintaining the bank selection.
  • Daily difference between house bank/partner bank value date (TBKPV)
    You find this activity under Bank Accounting -> Business Transactions -> Payment Transactions -> Payment Processing -> Value Date -> Define Daily Difference Between House Bank/Partner Bank Value Date. Make a new entry here for the euro.
  • Permitted currency keys for payment method (T042W)
    This activity is accessed under Configure Payment Program. There you choose Ctry payment methods and then choose the required region by double-clicking it. Choose the payment method on the next screen. You reach the Region Pmnt Methods: Details screen. Here you choose Currency. You branch to the screen for maintaining the currencies allowed for each payment method.
  • Accounts for bank charges (T042K)
    You find this activity under Configure Payment Program. There you choose Company codes -> Bank charges (Japan) -> Acct determination. Enter the company code in the following dialog box. You reach the screen for maintaining the accounts for the bank charges.

Foreign Currency Valuation (T044E)

  • Maintain table T044E using transaction SM30 to maintain hedged foreign currency items.
    If you use this table, you should make euro entries for all entries that refer to currencies participating in Monetary Union.

Bills of Exchange

  • Available amounts for bill of exchange presentation (T045D)
    You maintain the available amounts in the Cash Management application menu under Planning -> Bill/ex.presentation -> Available amounts.
  • Bank selection for bill of exchange presentation (T045F)
    You maintain the bank selection in the Cash Management application menu under Planning -> Bill/ex.presentation -> Bank allocation
  • Bank charges table for bill of exchange presentation (T045G)
    You maintain the bank charges in the Cash Management application menu under Planning -> Bill/ex.presentation -> Bank charges.

Account Balances for Statutory Reporting (T051A)

  • Up to 4.0A you maintain the account balances using transaction FBDF and here using Environment -> Customizing.
    As of 4.0A you maintain this table using the IMG activity

Interest Calculation

Currency Keys (V_TFE01)

  • Applies to France only. You maintain the account balances in the France

  • Make a new entry for the euro.

B: Manual cleanup due to rounding differences

You must clean up the following tables since rounding differences occur during the changeover which cannot be caught by the system:

  • Details on the company codes that must pay (T042B)
  • You find this activity under Configure Payment Program. There you choose Paying company codes. You reach the screen for maintaining the paying company codes.
    Here you have to adjust the minimum amounts. The currency name of the participating currency has been changed but you still have to enter the minimum amounts yourself.

  • Company code-specific specs. for payment methods (T042E)
  • You find this activity under Configure Payment Program. There you choose Payment methods/company code and choose the corresponding company code by double-clicking it. By selecting the corresponding payment method, you reach the screen for maintaining the company code-specific details.

  • Charges/expenses for automatic pmnt transactions (T042S)
  • You find this activity under Configure Payment Program. There you choose Bank selection and then choose the Charges button.

  • Value date for automatic payment transactions (T042V)

  • Tolerances for groups of customers/vendors (T043G)

  • Tolerances for employees (T043T)

  • Bill discount note (T031)

  • Tolerances for groups of G/L accounts (T043S)
  • You find this activity under General Ledger Accounting -> Business Transactions -> Clearing Open Items -> Differences During Clearing -> Define Tolerance Groups for G/L Accounts.

C: Cleanup for Consolidation purposes

This activity is relevant if you use the integration of Consolidation with General Ledger Accounting and transfer FI data from company codes to Consolidation using the data transfer method Periodic Extract.

  • Post the documents with transaction OCN1: Proceed.

D: Other cleanup tasks

The user-defined control totals must be reconfigured using
