SIMG_FINS_PRC - Populate Profit Center Fields in CO Line Items

In this Customizing activity, you can populate the profit center data and partner profit center data into historic line items. This is an optional step within the migration framework.

Fields for profit center and partner profit center have been added to Management Accounting (CO) line items allowing you to analyse the CO line items with profit center information from the posting date. As the fields for profit center and partner profit center are new, historic data does not contain these fields prior to migration to SAP Accounting powered by SAP HANA.

Profit center and partner profit center are derived from the master data of the CO object and partner object within the line item. For time-dependent master data, for example, cost center, the profit center is derived time dependent. That means the profit center assignment is based on the time of the line items posting.

For non-time dependent master data, for example, orders, the actual profit center assignment is taken. The system does not check for substitutions.
