SIMG_HUMGLPPPVTWAK - Set Partial GI Indicator
PERFORM Short Reference BAL Application Log DocumentationThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
Indicator: Partial GI not allowed
You use the indicator for partial goods issue posting (partial GI) to control whether or not a partial GI is allowed for production orders when a handling unit is created in picking.
The indicator for partial GI is always linked to an order type. This means that for each order type in a plant you can specify whether or not a partial GI is to be allowed.
- Partial GI allowed:
- The partial GI is allowed in the production process for all handling units that are created in picking for a production order. You cannot change this during the picking process.
- Free handling units that are assigned to a production order also carry the partial GI indicator. You can change the indicator for free handling units.
- Partial GI not allowed:
- If this indicator is set, no partial GI is allowed for handling units that are created in picking for a production order. You cannot change the indicator.
- If free handling units are assigned, the partial GI can also be carried out. You can change the indicator.
Assign HU
Here you can specify whether an HU that has already been staged for an order may be assigned to another order. This indicator is always linked to an order type. This means you can specify whether or not a new assignment is allowed for each order type in a plant.
You can specify the following:
- Assignment allowed
- The HUs are assigned to the new order without a message being displayed.
- Assignment with warning allowed
- A message appears informing you that the HU is already assigned to another order.
- HU assignment not allowed -> Error message
- An error message appears if you try to assign an HU to an order. The assignment is not created.
Example
There can be handling units in production that contain materials for several production orders and are not assigned to a production order. These HUs are called free HUs. If they are used in production, only part of the contents are used for production and posted as goods issues. The HU with the rest of the contents can be used for further production orders.
In process industries such as the pharmaceutical industry, a function allowing partial goods issue postings for all handling units is not required. In this case, the indicator should be set so that a partial GI is not allowed.
In other production types such as discrete production, a partial goods issue posting is required. In this case, the indicator should be set so that a partial goods issue is allowed.
