Use

You can use this Business Add-In (BAdI) to check if a claim bundle has been created twice.

When you create a claim bundle, the system performs a check for duplicates at the following event:

  • Check for duplicates after initial screen
When you are working on the Create Claim Bundle screen and choose the icon |@2K@ (Continue) or the icon |@0Y@ (Create), the system performs a check for duplicates. Very little data on the claim bundle is available at this point in time, meaning that the only search criteria that the system can use for this check are:
  • Claim bundle type

  • Claim bundle subtype

  • Incident period from / to

  • Business partner (policyholder and/or participant)

Note: The system checks the business partner only in the case of claim bundles in the category of Multiple Contract Handling.

Requirements

In Customizing activity Define Subtypes per Claim Bundle Type, you have set the Check for Duplicates flag.

Standard settings

An active standard implementation and a corresponding layout of the hit list are available for the search for duplicates. The system displays the claim bundle that might be a potential duplicate.

The system provides the interface of the BAdI (method MAIN) with the above-mentioned data of the claim bundle. Within the BAdI you can use corresponding function modules to call further data from the current memory of the claim bundle. The only return value of any importance is the BDT activity category. If you want to continue creating the claim bundle, you must return the value '01' for Create.
