In this IMG activity you register data procurement function modules in the Business Rule Framework (BRF) that enable transfer of data from the Claims Management system to the BRF.

You use expressions of implementing class 0SM001 (Simple Value Request) or 0TB001 (Value Requests for Fields of a Table) that access structures/tables that are not yet known to the Claims Management system.

The standard setting already includes all the function modules that make most structures and tables in the Claims Management system accessible to the BRF.

If you enhance the Claims Management system to include own structures or tables, and you want to use information from these structures/tables in BRF objects, you must perform the following activities:

1. Create a function module that transfers the structure/table to the BRF
2. Register the structure/table and related function modules in the BRF

An example of a function module that delivers a structure is ICL_SYST_GET.

An example of a function module that delivers an internal table is ICL_TICL301_SEL. This example also shows that these data procurement function modules can also be used outside of the BRF if suitable import and export parameters are selected.
