The following functions are provided for document management as a findings inbox in the Documents view of the Clinical Work Station:

  • Selection by patient of an OU or by attending physician
  • Specific options for switching to next status and displaying this using icons

Create a new variant of a view for documents and edit screen 4 (dynpro 320) in the selection variant. Here define which patients with active movements on the entered organizational units are to be included in the selection.

Optionally, maintain semiautomatic or automatic switching to the next status for selected document categories.

Optionally, define the representation of individual statuses as icons in the documents view.

Functions for switching to the next status are taken into account in the fallback class CL_ISHMED_DOC_PROCESSING of the enhancement spot ES_ISHMED_DOC_PROCESSING. If a customer-specific implementation of this enhancement spot already exists, you must incorporate the source code from the fallback class into the implementation.

If you use the (CMOM) SAP enhancement N2DOKB03, we recommend that you deactivate it and transfer the functions implemented there, adapted accordingly, into the specified enhancement spot

The common requirements of a findings inbox can be met by a status network in which a Released status can be followed by one or more status(es) that indicate that the document has been viewed by the addressee and that can be set using a query in status switching control. The use of two ‘Viewed’ statuses that have a different key but the same language-dependent abbreviation (in our example, VW) enables the Notify function for more than one user:

In this status network, it is possible to switch to the two ‘Viewed' statuses (as next status) and, if necessary, to switch back to the 'Released' status.
