When you enter a clinical order, the system will produce a selection list of order types. You can structure this selection list using tab pages. Each tab page can group together specific order types which are medically or organizationally related.

In this activity, you define which tab pages should be available to an organizational unit in the order type selection list, when entering a clinical order.

To provide an organizational unit with an order type selection list, you must first define the tab pages.

Structuring the order type selection list with tab pages is optional. The system will not provide tab pages as standard.

The tab pages, for structuring the order type selection list, are Contexts (from the system's point of view).

In this activity you assign the relevant contexts to each organizational unit whose order type selection list you wish to structure.

You wish to provide an outpatient clinic with the possibility of preregistering patients for surgeries and conventional treatment.

The outpatient clinic should receive a selection list containing all order types, displayed by the Surgical and Conventional tab pages.

The order types available to the outpatient clinic should be divided between the Surgical and Conventional tab pages.
