Allergens (allergy triggers) are technically assigned to "allergen groups".

In this IMG activity, you define allergen groups for the allergy documentation. The user can enter these allergen groups as an attribute for the allergen; this assignment is made using the value help.

If you, as the system administrator, have assigned an allergen group to an allergen in the allergy catalog, the system will add this allergen group when an allergy is assigned to a patient. The use can delete or change this group.

Typical examples for allergen groups (based on the DACN/DAM allergy catalog, USA) are:

• Food allergies

• Plant allergies

• Drug allergies

• Animal allergies

• Environmental allergies

• "Other allergies"
