In this IMG activity you define communication control. You define the events you want to use and the function modules to be used by the events.

You can use events to process inbound IDocs or generate outbound IDocs.

Example

Requirements

You must have established settings for the By Service Provider communication type in the Define Control Parameters IMG activity. Otherwise the system ignores the settings you establish in this IMG activity.

Note that you must make different settings in order to send and receive load shapes. See the Additional Hints section below.Further notes.

This table contains no entries by default. You must enter the communication events required by your business processes in the table.

Two service providers are specified in this table- the sender and the recipient.

Load shapes are always sent and received using the Based on Service Provider communication type. If you have set the Based on Service Type communication type, the system ignores this setting when sending and receiving load shapes. This is because load shapes are sent to recipients that cannot be identified as the service (and therefore the service type) of a point of delivery.

The system reads communication control by means of the current date. If you already know of future changes to your communication with a partner then you can enter these changes using the date field. You can then transport the changes to your productive system without influencing your current communication.
