In this step you maintain the settings for selecting export data.

You can specify whether the purchase prices, sales prices, the business volume data and the stock data is read for the materials.

Business volume and stock data can either be read from the LIS or from the SAP BW.

Data source LIS:

  • For reading business volume data, you need to specify which selection variants are used, the return fields for the business volume value and the business volume quantity and how many periods are selected.
  • For reading stock data, you need to specify the selection variants and the return field for the stock.

Data source SAP BW:

  • The business volume data is read using a selection method (and step) for analytical applications. You need to specify return fields for the business volume value and the business volume quantity. You can also specify the number of periods to be selected.
  • For reading stock data, you need to specify the selection method (step) and the return field for the stock.

Finally you need to enter the relevant function modules for the data export.

Three function modules are delivered as templates for you to copy:

  • Calling the SMP and exporting the key parameters
The function module ws_execute calls an external program, which receives the key parameters via the command line. The local path on which this program is installed must be entered in the call of the function module ws_execute. These key parameters are imported into the SMP. For more information, see the relevant function module documentation.
  • Calling the SMP without exporting the key parameters
The function module document_show_direct is called. If a new layout module is created, just the SMP will be started using the function module ws_execute. You must enter the path where the space management program is installed when calling funtion module ws_execute. If the layout module already exists, the document assigned to the layout module via the document management system is displayed. If several documents are assigned to the layout module, you can select one document. For more information, see the relevant function module documentation.
  • Data export by OLE in Microsoft Excel
Microsoft Excel is started and the data for the materials selected, including the header data, is exported by OLE. The function module that performs this export is called shelf_space_opt_MsExcel_exe. For more information on this, see the relevant function module documentation.

Copy one of the templates delivered and adapt it to meet your requirements.
