SIMG_OHAX407 - Set Up Initial and Final Group Texts in Window
BAL_S_LOG - Application Log: Log header data Vendor Master (General Section)This documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
This step explains how to set up initial and final group texts in a window.
Initial and final group texts are texts (such as "statutory deductions") and/or graphical elements (such as lines) which are printed at the beginning and/or end of an information group. An initial or final group text can consist of one or several lines.
You must fill the following fields if you want to set up an initial or final group text:
- Window code
- Please specify the code (such as "F1") of the window in which an initial or final group text should be printed.
- Group number
- Please specify the two-digit number of the group at the beginning or end of which the initial or final group text should be printed.
- Text position indicator
- There are two entries that can be made in this field:
- "B"
- The value B is used to denote an initial group text.
- "E"
- The value E is used to denote a final group text.
- Continuation indicator
- The continuation indicator is used to number the lines in an initial or final group text. You must enter a "1" for initial and final group texts that consist of one line. If the initial or final group text consists of more than one line, the individual lines must be numbered consecutively starting with "1".
REQUIREMENTS
For every initial and final group text that is set up, a corresponding layout must be defined in the IMG activity "Set up line layout in window". If the layout is missing for an initial or final group text, blank lines are printed instead.
EXAMPLE
An overview of the abbreviations used in the example can be found under the heading "ABBREVIATIONS USED" at the end of this step.
You want to set up the following initial group text for group "01" in window "F1":
Statutory deductions ---------------------------------
To do this, you must enter the following:
Wndw | Gr | I | C | ....+...1....+....2....+....3....+....4....+....5 |
---|---|---|---|---|
F1 | 01 | B | 1 | Statutory deductions --------------------------- |
Using window code "F1" and group number "01", you can assign the initial group text to the window and group required. Indicator "B" determines that this is an initial group text. Continuation indicator "1" indicates that the initial group text consists of just one line. You must enter the initial group text itself in the text area, which cannot be displayed in full here.
INITIAL AND FINAL GROUP TEXTS FOR MULTILINGUAL REMUNERATION STATEMENTS
If remuneration statements are created in different languages, as may be the case in multilingual countries such as Switzerland and Belgium, every entry required for the initial or final group text must be made in every language required. The appropriate language indicator must be assigned to the individual entries.
ABBREVIATIONS USED
The following abbreviations are used in the given example:
Wndw | Window code |
Gr | Group number |
I | Text position indicator |
C | Continuation indicator |
ACTIVITY
- Set up the required initial and final group texts, taking note of the following:
- You can use the scrolling arrows to scroll horizontally through fields which cannot be displayed in full on the screen.
- Return to the IMG activity "Set up line layout in window" and set up an appropriate layout for every initial and final group text, assuming you have not already done this. You will find a description of the procedure under "Initial and final group texts" in that step.
