This step enables you to set up notifications in a window for your employees which are then printed on the remuneration statement as additional information.

The SAP system supports the following types of notification:

• General notifications

The personnel number is assigned to a module created as a standard text using the SAPscript word processing system. General notifications could be information from the management, such as

"The works Christmas party will be held in December."

• Personal notifications

A separate text module is used for the employee in question, such as

"Please contact Mr Smith to extend your contract."

The procedure used to set up a notification in a window is different than the procedure described in the step "Set up wage types in window" with regard to the entry made in the field Field name and is also different than the procedure described in the step "Set up line layout in window" with regard to the entries made in the fields Wage type, Table indicator and Column type.

WAGE TYPE (set up notifications in window)

You can enter the following in this field:

• For a general notification, enter the value "1 ".

• For a personal notification, enter the value "2 ".

TABLE INDICATOR (set up notifications in window)

The following must be entered in this field:

• "P"

COLUMN TYPE (set up notifications in window)

The following must be entered in this field:

• "X"

FIELD NAME (set up line layout in window)

The following must be entered in this field:

• "TXT-ENTRY"

You want to set up a general notification for form "ZF01" for your employees. The notification must be printed in window F1, group number 01, subgroup number 01, line type 01.

In this instance, the following entries are required for the notifications in a window:

The following entries are also required to determine the line layout:

The general notification text is created using the SAPscript word processing system and has a length of 65 characters. Infotype 0128 Notifications is used to assign the personnel number to the text module.

Your general notification is printed on form "ZF01" in window F1, group number 01, subgroup number 01, line type 01 and is 65 characters long.
