In this step, you define the guidelines that can be assigned to your compensation adjustments.

In organization, you use different calculation methods for calculating your bonus awards and your salary increase. For example, bonuses are a fixed percentage of your base salary, whereas salary increase are base on performance and compa-ratio. You therefore, need to define two guidelines:

• BONUS

• MERIT

1. Define your work area by entering your compensation area
2. Choose New entries
3. Enter a key (up to eight characters) and a name for each of your guidelines
4. Save your entries
