In this step, you define your guideline groups. Guideline groups identify employee groupings that you can assign as an additional parameter. You assign guideline groups via the guideline group feature.

In your organization, executive employees receive a 15% merit increase whereas all other employees receive a 10% merit increase. Instead of creating two different guidelines you can define guideline groups to make this distinction.

1. Choose New entries
2. Enter an identifier and a text for each of your guideline groups
3. Save your entries
