The report Pay Scale Reclassification (RPIPSR00) enables you to carry out a pay scale reclassification for your employees based on hours worked.

To do this, the Time Evaluation component stores data on the hours worked by the employees and the pay scale information using exact days in the time evaluation cluster B2.

In the standard system, the variable balances table (table VS) and the cummulated variable balances table (table CVS) are filled using the personnel calculation rule TTIG.

The report evaluates these tables and compares the cummulated hours worked with the value limits that you defined in the view V_T510_PSRCL (Pay Scale Reclassification). Reaching the limit values triggers a pay scale reclassification.

The standard SAP system contains the sample personnel calculation rule TTIG.

When it comes to filling in the variable balances, familiarize yourself with the specified standard personnel calculation rule TTIG. If you want to fill in variable balances that deviate from the standard, you can use the SAP enhancement HRPCMPVA to read the data using the report RPIPSR00 (Pay Scale Reclassification).

  1. Copy the sample personnel calculation rule TTIG into your personnel calculation rule in the customer namespace.
  2. Modify the copied personnel calculation rule to meet your requirements.
  3. Note the following:
    1. In the sample personnel calculation rule, an hour worked is defined as a TIP entry of pair type 1 and 3. This means that all absences that have been recorded, including breaks, are counted as hours worked.
    2. In the case of a deviating payment, the hours worked by the employee in addition to the normal paid working hours are recorded as a variable balance.
    3. A prerequisite for implementing the pay scale reclassification based on hours worked is that you store the hours worked and the employee's pay scale information in the table for the cluster B2 using the identifier ITIG. The identifier allows you to group the different variable balances on a daily basis. The operation ADDVS provides the entries.
  4. Check your personnel calculation rule for check errors and save it.
  5. In your time evaluation schema in the balance formation block, before the function CUMBT, call up your personnel calculation rule using the function RTIP, using GEN as the second parameter.
