If the pay scale information stored in the standard identifier 'ITIG' is not sufficient, then you can use a function exit together with an identifier of your own to store the desired information in the variable balance table (table VS) in the time evaluation cluster B2.

If you want to perform this step, first read the online documentation available on the transaction. Choose 'Utilities' to access this documentation.

To use a function exit, you must have a good working knowledge of the programming language ABAP/4. You can store you own coding in certain reserved places - SAP is not responsible for this coding. All the data that you make available to the application program via a hard-coded inteface, is always stored consistently in the system. If the data has been processed incorrectly, then the program RPITIG00 will produce an error message and will then process the next personnel number.

The function exit is not active in the SAP R/3 System.

Only use the function exit if you use your own identifier in your personnel calculation rule.

  1. Create an enhancement project
  2. Assign the SAP enhancement HRPCMPVA to this project
  3. Edit the function exit EXIT_RPITIG00_001. For more detailed informatioin, refer to the function exit documentation.
  4. Document your project
  5. Activate the project. You can only use your enhancement once you have activated your project.

When you edit the function exit, store your coding in the include ZXPTGU01. This means that your enhancements - as opposed to the modifications - can be released because they were not carried out in the original SAP System but in a name range that has been reserved for customers.
